Lucent Dreams Photography features the work of Kim Torres and Sandie Griffin, partners in creativity and life. Occasionally, Jenna Torres Salins (Kim's daughter) will also be featured.
Kim is the primary nature photographer and the proud owner of the macro lens. Sandie also loves nature (and tends towards water and reflection shots) but never misses an opportunity to capture a face, particularly one belonging to a child. Jenna is primarily a concert photographer, but has many images of horses, given that she spends much of her time at a barn.
We call Louisville home base, but spend as much time as possible wandering and traveling with our cameras, shooting as we go. While we take different approaches to our work, we both look for and try to capture the interiority of world around us. Landscapes, people, shapes and interesting compositions are only as compelling as the way they are perceived and captured.
As far as dreams go, we believe in them. We believe that any worthy ideal can be realized, if started and pursued with a relentless passion and activity. Just “start it.”
A significant portion of our profits will be contributed to cancer research. We are so excited for this opportunity to pay homage to our mothers, who both fought and lost the battle to cancer. We believe gifts and blessings are to flow through us freely and without reservation; something our mothers lived and taught us.
